“CORMORANT” PAN HANDLE
Clients: Luca Loschi - Fabio Verdelli
Design/Product: “CORMORANT” PAN HANDLE
Year: 2013
First Stage
Design typology: study of a patentable system that makes the handle of an existing pan removable in order for it to be used in the oven.
Second Stage
In the initial phase of the design, the volumetry of the handle was redesigned using the designer’s style proposals in order to make it production-ready and easily inserted onto the existing pan.
The following phase consisted in the creation of the mechanism that allows the handle to be removed from the pan with a simple pressure button. Upon client request this button had to be patentable.
Close attention was paid to studying the tactile feedback given by the button during pressure and release.
